Reviews by Year: Special Projects: IntroductionI recently bumped into a book from the Lost World-Lost Race Classics series from Armchair Fiction, the print arm of Sinister Cinema, who do good work. So I checked out the series and realised that I really need to read my way through it. I've only read a few of them before, like the Arthur Conan Doyles, and actually read another for review, H. Rider Haggard's She, as a follow up to King Solomon's Mines, but never actually got round to writing it up. My better half picked up a good stack of the early volumes for me for Christmas and I fleshed out the gaps in the first few years soon afterward. So I'll be reading through them at the usual monthly rate and posting links to my reviews for The Nameless Zine here. |
